THE JOURNEY OF ANNA WUSZTER

Dr. Papay generously gave his services without charge, but the Cleveland Clinic billed for its services and by the end of her treatment there, Anna had paid over $37,000.
Back in Chicago, Anna was under the care of Dr. Gregory A. Turowski, a Plastic Surgeon who continued to expand her implanted facial devices and who also kindly charged no fees for his consultation and

Dr. Julian Pribaz
When he learned about the case, Dr. Pribaz reacted at once with intense interest. Knowing the financial limitations of this patient, he agreed to embrace the cause pro bono. He then set out on a campaign to convince the Hospital to donate its fees as well, but that was not to be. He knew a case of this complexity would require an initial day-long surgery with Intensive Care afterward and a week-long hospital stay, all of which would be very costly. The follow-up surgery would also be expensive
The Ray Tye Medical Aid Foundation was contacted by Simona Shuster in the Hospital’s International Office. She was applying for financial help to pay for the Hospital costs for Anna Wuszter, and after hearing about this distressing case, The Foundation was pleased to help and responded immediately with the needed funds.
